Our Products

Converting to Solar

BEGA has invested more than $4 million in solar energy to provide 95% of our campus electrical needs, significantly reducing our reliance on traditional sources and reducing our carbon footprint.

Not only does this make us more sustainable and efficient as a company, it also has a positive impact on our community here in Carpinteria. Our use of solar energy will reduce the carbon footprint of the city and will reduce the city’s electrical load, contributing to an overall more stable system; this ensures that rolling brown-outs due to strain on the electrical grid are less likely.

Other Sustainability Initiatives

While solar panel installation is the headline sustainability project, our high recycle, recovery, and re-use rates have led BEGA to divert over 90% of production waste away from landfills.

BEGA has also taken steps to reduce single use plastics, support carpooling, and make electric vehicle charging freely accessible to employees.

Employees are the key to earning this award. It is only through employee support and hard work that BEGA received this honor!
