Light with clockwork precision

BEGA luminaires highlight the extraordinary architecture of Vacheron Constantin headquarters, the world’s oldest continuously operating watch manufacturer. Since 1755, the Geneva-based company has been well-known for producing luxury watches. The new building, located in the Plan-les-Ouates district, was designed by French-Swiss architect, Benard Tschumi.

With a goal of housing administration and production departments under one roof, Vacheron Constantin hosted an international architectural competition in 2001, which was ultimately won by renowned architect Tschumi. After 18 months of construction, the company finally moved into its dynamic yet timeless new headquarters.

The building’s abstract, sleek, and meticulous architectural design reflects the quality and uniqueness of the watches produced within it. The distinguishing design feature is a thin, flexible sheath of perforated stainless steel that curves around the entire outer structure of the building.

BEGA recessed wall luminaires with asymmetric light distribution illuminate the campus access roads, providing safety and guidance. Robust bollards along the pathways guide the way with their high efficacy and uniform illumination. The pathway luminaires offer 180-degrees of illumination, while identical bollards with 360-degree distribution highlight the landscaped areas around the main building. Timeless and efficient, BEGA luminaires compliment the unique aesthetics of the Vacheron Constantin headquarters.
