Seezeitlodge – A spa hotel in a unique location
When designing the Seezeitlodge, GRAFT architects’ mission was to harness the natural ambience, energy, and character of this special place and to highlight these elements. Their impressive success is on display at this extraordinary hotel and wellness center, which is located on a wooded headland overlooking the lake in northeastern Saarland. The manicured grounds are stylishly accented with a perfectly coordinated arrangement of BEGA luminaires.
Named as one of the 100 most beautiful hotels in Europe, The Seezeitlodge in Gonnesweiler invites guests to connect with nature and relax in the green, forested landscape of the highlands. The resort’s main feature is the panoramic view of the 300-acre Bostalsee Lake in the Sankt Wendel countryside, which can be enjoyed from every hotel room.
BEGA light building elements with asymmetric flat beam distribution line a curved road that leads to the resort. Sturdy bollards with symmetric light provide glare free illumination in the entrance and along the route to the resort’s golf course. Additional bollards decorate the grounds and gardens with comfortable illumination.
In front of the sauna cabin, glare-free on-ground luminaires with a low mounting height and 180° light distribution provide structure and pathway illumination. In-ground luminaires resistant to foot traffic highlight the trees planted around the sauna with symmetric light distribution and create a warm and cozy atmosphere. BEGA luminaires contribute to the magical atmosphere of the Seezeitlodge and enhance the resort-style experience.
