Architecture for Spacious Living

The ‘Paradise’ residential complex in Berlin, Germany was established on the former site of a large US Army housing complex. Exclusive homes and apartment buildings were recently built among lush vegetation on the tree covered plot. The site was designed to maintain generous private and public outdoor areas throughout with manicured lawns and wide walkways. Underground parking spaces are joined with spacious living areas by way of elevators.

Private balconies and patios extend the functional indoor living spaces outdoors as well. BEGA wall luminaires are used to provide warm, ambient lighting in these areas. The crystal glass blocks with a shielded top are timeless and functional, just like the architecture of this residential complex.

BEGA pole top luminaires line the streets, illuminating driveways and right up to the front doors of many homes in this complex. The glare-free and uniform illumination from these luminaires creates a feeling of safety along the calm streets. Pathways are illuminated with coordinated bollards that are of a similar aesthetic to the pole top luminaires. Round, unshielded cylindrical forms with delicate metal accents and 360° distribution make for a unified lighting solution throughout the neighborhood. These luminaires provide comfortable vertical illumination for facial recognition of all pedestrians, adding to the feeling of safety and warmth around these residences.
