At BEGA, we approach lighting in the context of the architecture that it is designed to illuminate. Remaining true to the sacred connection between light and architecture, we created a true Architectural Lighting Management System (ALMS), called BEGA Connect.
BEGA Connect enables innovative lighting designs across projects of any scale, without technical barriers. Built on Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology, and delivered on a modern, intuitive interface, users can configure, control, and monitor individual luminaires or entire systems remotely, from anywhere. Whether accessed via smartphone, tablet, or desktop browser, BEGA Connect delivers professional control with exceptional ease of use.
Simple Hardware
BEGA Connect is built around a clear principle: powerful capabilities without unnecessary complexity. A single component is all that’s required to bring a system online. Acting as the link between the local installation and the BEGA Connect Cloud, the following connectors ensure flexible integration across a wide range of project conditions:
Air Connector
Uses Narrowband-IoT to deliver reliable connectivity - even in areas without a local network. Control up to 20 devices from a single Air Connector.
Zhaga Air Connector
Provides instant connectivity to the BEGA Connect Cloud to control individual luminaires fitted with Zhaga Book 18 Ed. 3.0.
DALI Connector
Integrates your lighting system into the existing IP infrastructure. Control up to 64 devices from a single DALI Connector. Includes a built-in DALI bus power supply.
Together, these components allow installations of any size to be managed within a single, unified system, accessible anytime, from anywhere.
Easy setup and robust data protection.
After electrical installation, the BEGA Connect app guides users through commissioning in just a few intuitive steps, eliminating the need for DALI expertise or complex workflows. Once connected, luminaires and systems can be remotely configured, monitored, and controlled with precision and confidence. All data is hosted in Germany, ensuring that it is protected with certified data security (Trusted IoT Device) that meets strict European requirements.
Engineered for long-term flexibility.
BEGA has adopted an open protocol, standardizing on the established DALI-2 and Zhaga guidelines that allow products from different manufacturers to interoperate seamlessly. This fosters flexibility, long-term support, and vendor independence, making it easier to scale or modify systems over time.
